| Straight shafts, cross action. Round handle. Divides nucleus for phacoemulsification. Nuclear division is attained without grooving. Nuclei of any hardness can be pre-chopped with pre-chop forceps and nucleus sustainer. Phaco of pre-chopped nuclear fragments is rapid. Risk of rupturing posterior capsule during grooving is diminished. Shortened ultra sound time and minimal movement of phaco tip minimizes wound damage and contributes to self sealing wound. Ultrasound time can be reduced to half of conventional grooving method. | |
