It has a unique two-sheet design, no direct contact between fabric (PET) and functional pericardial leaflets. A tricusp shaped pericardium sheet is sutured to a second sheet, which covers the internal part of the stent. Mechanical shock absorbtion during the opening and closing phases. The Soprano valve is constructed from glutaraldehyde-treated bovine pericardium. Simultaneous in-depth tissue fixation and shaping are achieved by means of a fluidic, hence atraumatic system at low pressure.
