Features		The Soprano aortic bioprosthesis maximizes blood flow and has improved implantability. It has a unique two-sheet design, no direct contact between fabric (PET) and functional pericardial leaflets. A tricusp shaped pericardium sheet is sutured to a second sheet, which covers the internal part of the stent. Mechanical shock absorbtion during the opening and closing phases. The Soprano valve is constructed from glutaraldehyde-treated bovine pericardium. Simultaneous in-depth tissue fixation and shaping are achieved by means of a fluidic, hence atraumatic system at low pressure. The detoxification process is then applied to the valve.

The Soprano aortic bioprosthesis is designed for a totally supra-annular seating, which allows a precise alignment of the valve orifice to the patient’s tissue annulus, resulting in a maximization of the blood flow and 100% orifice-to-annulus ratio.
