| The Jaguar Lumbar I/F Cage system is a carbon fiber reinforced polymer implant designed to separate the mechanical and biologic functions of posterior lumbar interbody fusion (PLIF). The Jaguar Lumbar I/F Cage provides a device designed to meet the mechanical requirements of PLIF, and uses autologous cancellous bone, the best possible bone for healing. The implant has a modulus of elasticity close to that of human cortical bone, minimizing stress shielding. The cage is radiolucent so that bone healing can be assessed by normal radiographic methods. Indicated for an open posterior approach using autogenous bone graft in patients with Degenerative Disc Disease (DDD) at one or two levels from L2-S1. | |
