Features		The Bicarbon™ Aortic valve features a pliable cylindrical cuff designed for supra-annular positioning. Curved pyrolytic carbon leaflets achieve a downstream laminar flow. Aerofoil housing profile is designed to minimize turbulence and blood stasis, to favour pressure recovery and guarantee surface continuity with the suture ring. Titanium carbofilm coated housing offers a larger geometric orifice area. Hinge mechanism minimizes friction between the pivot and the housing recess by means of a rolling-without-sliding motion. Passive washing. Carbofilm coated composite sewing ring is made of a double-velour PET and PTFE fabric intended to ensure tissue ingrowth minimizing the possibility of perivalvular leakage and enhances haemocompatibility and reduces fibrous overgrowth.
