FeaturesClamping element gives high angular stability, easy handling, protection of adjacent facet joints, small volume, low profile, variable clamp setting options and unconstrained screw/rod position. Transpedicular bone screw provides safe screw insertion and anchorage provides high stability. Also, 6 and 7 mm diameter screws available, blunt tip, conical core, no threads in cross section of pedicle entrance and connecting thread for reduction instrument attachment. Connection rod has top or side loading capabilities, diameter 6 mm with threaded surface. The Socon Spinal System is a pedicle screw system indicated for the treatment of severe spondylolisthesis and it is intended to provide immobilization and stabilization of spinal segments in skeletally mature patients as an adjunct to fusion in the treatment of the following acute and chronic instabilities or deformities of the thoracic, lumbar and sacral spine: degenerative spondylolisthesis with objective evidence of neurological impairment, fracture, dislocation, scoliosis, kyphosis, spinal tumor, and failed previous fusion (pseudarthrosis).
