Features		Option of single, double or combination rod. Can be used in the thoracic, thoracolumbar or lumbar regions while accommodating both small and large patients. Blunt tip design - Decreases the risk of soft tissue irritation on the opposite side of the vertebral body. Accommodates a variety of lateral vertebral shapes and sizes. Allows the anterior vertebral screw to be inserted parallel to the posterior vertebral body elements and allows the posterior vertebral screw to be directed 10 - 15 degrees obliquely and anteriorly. Effective in preventing screw migration and screw pullout. Smaller size accommodates an anterior placement and accommodates in situ bending, when necessary.

Product Description

Depuy Spine’s Kaneda Anterior Scoliosis System (KASS) is a two-rod, multi-segmental instrumentation system that provides both flexibility of the implant for application to the deformed spine, overall rigidity to correct spinal deformities, and the ability to maintain structural support of disc spaces to avoid “settling” during graft incorporation. The fundamental advantage provided by the KASS system is the ability to obtain a very high degree of correction of thoracolumbar and lumbar scoliosis along with derotation and restoration of physiologic sagittal plane alignment.
