Two distinctly different output ranges micro mode and macro mode. The intensity may be regulated within the full range of the dial setting, whether in the micro or macro mode. Smooth, non-modulated RF current permits bipolar micro and macro coagulation without traumatic destruction of adjacent tissue. The sophisticated solid-state circuit guarantees reproducible output and trouble-free service, up to 12 W at 100 Ohm in the micro mode and 50 W at 100 Ohm in the macro mode. Operation by conventional footswitch or with handswitching (Bi-co-matic) instruments. In selector position "hand", the bipolar output is activated by the special switching device installed in our Bi-co-matic forceps, by applying extra pressure to the forceps.
