Duracon inserts are available in Condylar, A/P Lipped, Stabilizer and Total Stabilizer styles, each offering a high degree of conformity and various constraints. All Duracon inserts are manufactured of Duration® Stabilized UHMWPE. The Condylar Insert is the least constraining of the four styles. The A/P Lipped Insert provides anterior / posterior stability of a post design without the need for invasive femoral resection. It features an anterior build-up to increase conformity to resist anterior femoral subluxation. The Stabilizer Insert is primarily a posterior cruciate ligament substitute, while providing secondary collateral and medial / lateral translational stability. | The Duracon tibial inserts have radiused A/P and M/L dishes produced by advanced 4-axis machining, maximizing conformity of the tibial insert to the radiused condyles of the femoral component. The resulting rotary arc is unique to the Duracon system, and accommodates the knee's natural screw-home mechanism while allowing the femoral component to rotate freely. | |
