The new ACROBAT SUV vacuum stabilizer from Guidant.

Designed for optimal stabilization and ease of use. The newest members of the ACROBAT family offers uncompromising strength and stability with outstanding anastomotic site visibility and access. Featuring the superior maneuverability of our FlexLink™ technology on a stronger arm, our innovative tri-slot socket wrist for “toes-up” capability, and independent vacuum pods on malleable feet designed to conform to all contours of the heart.

The Simpler Solution for Off-Pump Bypass Surgery

Combine the ACROBAT Vacuum Stabilizer with the XPOSE Access Device, the gold standard in heart-positioning, and you now have the ability to reach all vessels of the heart with a unique, low-profile system that is easy to use. The XPOSE Access Device is designed to securely lift the heart, and to easily position and access target vessels, while maintaining hemodynamic stability.

Each Guidant Acrobat Vacuum Stabilizer System is intended for use during performance of cardiac surgical procedures through a sternotomy incision approach. The AccessRail Platform, in combination with an Activator Drive Mechanism, is used to spread the sternum, providing access and direct visualization to the thoracic cavity. The AccessRail Platform also allows for the organization of pericardial sutures. The stabilizer isolates and provides local immobilization of the target vessel on the beating heart.
