The UNFOLDER® Silver-T is a refinement of The UNFOLDER® Silver Series, that is even easier to use. Offering proven ease of implantation, The UNFOLDER® Silver-T requires fewer twists and delivers the lens 2-1/2 times faster than The UNFOLDER® Silver Series. The IOL optic body is implanted with a single twist, yet The UNFOLDER® Silver-T provides the surgeon with total control during the delivery of the IOL.
As the handpiece rod is advanced, the silicone SofTip™ Sheath "grips” the IOL. The SofTip™ Sheath continues to hold the IOL firmly throughout the unfolding—the surgeon decides the speed at which the IOL unfolds. Delivery can be stopped at any time, allowing the surgeon to adjust the placement. Even after the IOL is unfolded, the surgeon maintains control of the haptic and placement.
The UNFOLDER® Silver-T also prevents IOL contact with the wound and the exterior of the eye, reducing the potential for postoperative inflammation.
