Magnetic stimulation is a non-invasive and painless method of stimulating the peripheral and central nervous system. Cadwell Laboratories manufactures two magnetic stimulation devices, the MES-10 and the High Speed Magnetic Stimulator (HSMS). The Hight Speed MES-10 magnetic stimulator is capable of stimulation rates up to 25 Hz at full power. Several coil configurations are available for each stimulator.
This is the low speed magnetic stimulator (repetition rates less than 1 Hz at full power). This device is approved for peripheral nerve and spinal cord stimulation. It is not approved for human cortical stimulation. | |
