The Tension Retaining Device is an optional attachment to the Single-Sided Tensioner for use when multiple or sequential cables need to be tensioned at the same time using only one tensioner
Each cable can be incrementally tightened
Maintains tension without flattening cable
One-piece design eliminates need for attachment bits
Double-Sided Tensioner:
Excellent for grip fixation with non-beaded cable
Grabs and releases cable quickly
Clamping mechanism prevents cable flattening
Single-Sided Tensioner:
Simplifies cerclage with Dall-Miles™ beaded cable and sleeve
Built-in calibration scale (150 lb. max.) for consistent tension to every cable
Slender and curved nozzle tip provides easy access | | Materials | | Dall-Miles™ stainless steel cables are made from 22Cr-13Ni-5Mn (22-13-5), which has demonstrated better corrosion resistance and mechanical properties than the standard 316 or 316L type. The 22-13-5 material is compatible with 316 stainless steel, particularly with bone compression plates and cable sleeves, for trauma applications.

| In 1985, the world’s first multi-filament orthopaedic cable, Dall-Miles™, was introduced by Howmedica Osteonics as a means of providing superior fixation over monofilament wire for trochanteric reattachment procedures. Today, with more than 100 published clinical papers demonstrating clinical successes, the Dall-Miles™ Cable System continues to set the clinical standard in cable fixation. No other multi-filament cable system offers the reassurance of so much clinical experience.
