The enhanced screw placement, when combined with Acumed's 2.7mm or 2.1mm screws, makes for a solid construct that fits the patient.
Provisional stability during insertion is achieved through both the K-Wire holes and the Plate Post. Creating this early stability ensures accurate screw placement and eliminates plate tilt, or dishing, which could lead to prominence of the plate above the dorsal surface of the carpals.
Up to seven 2.1 mm or 2.7 mm screws secure the plate to the Capitate, Lunate, Hamate, and Triquetrum.
