| Designed in collaboration with Drs. John R. Gates and Mary E. Dunn at the Minnesota Epilepsy Group, Gates/Dunn electrodes are designed for reliability, safety and ease of use. For cortical strip and grid electrodes, platinum contacts are mounted flush with the electrode surface, are individually numbered and have larger exposures. Strip and depth electrodes are fitted with a gold plated mini-PC board connector; larger grids incorporate a single gold-plated Flex Connector. Electrode leads are extra long and durable to ensure reliable recording. Strip and grid electrodes have standard 1 cm spacing; the platinum depth electrodes have 1.5 cm spacing. | |
