Product Description
The AB5500 is a combination A-scan and B-scan system, providing accurate and reliable scanning capabilities. The A-scan incorporates a high frequency, low noise probe and fast precise algorithm which enables scan capture immediately upon application of the probe along the visual axis. In cases where the axial length of both eyes differ by more than 0.3 mm, a staphyloma or other ocular abnormality must be suspected. The B-scan enables quick and easy identification of suspected pathologies, without setting up a water bath or inserting shells under the lids. The combination of an automatic A-scan and B-scan into a single system makes the AB5500 practical and affordable.
