The Uniflex® Humeral Nail System has been designed to treat certain difficult humerus fractures in which noninvasive treatments have historically failed to give predictable results.
It provides a unique blend of strength and flexibility. Ideally suited for intramedullary fixation, the yield strength of titanium alloy is twice that of stainless steel and its ultimate tensile strength is almost 25% higher. In addition, the combined mechanical properties of high strength and a lower modulus of elasticity allow the Uniflex Nail to offer a potential reduction of implant failure and improved stimulation of fracture healing. Self-tapping titanium screws allow for easy insertion and increased strength, and are available in 6 lengths. | |
