QuickVue+ Infectious Mononucleosis test is designed to detect the IgM heterophile antibodies in serum, plasma or whole blood. The QuickVue+ Infectious Mononucleosis assay utilizes an extract of bovine erythrocytes which give a greater sensitivity and specificity than similar extracts prepared from sheep and horse erythrocytes. QuickVue+ Infectious Mononucleosis is a rapid, sensitive immunoassay for the detection of IgM heterophile antibodies in acute phase infections.
