The PROVISION Surgical Helmet System from DePuy offers a comprehensive combination of comfort and protection. This system helps meet OSHA recommendations regarding occupational exposure to blood and body fluids, while creating a new standard for comfort.
The PROVISION System is designed to offer unequaled comfort, featuring a lightweight, hose-free, bicycle helmet design.
The PROVISION System's movable motor track helps to prevent neck fatigue by allowing each wearer to adjust the balance of the helmet. In addition, the movable air deflector and two-speed motor allow the user to change the direction and intensity of the airflow within the helmet.
The PROVISION System's sealed filter system uses a depth media filter supplied by 3M. It is built into an elasticized filter pocket that creates a sealed filter around the motor assembly. This approach provides superior filtration properties and lower CO2 levels, while keeping the wearer cooler.
This is achieved by ensuring that a constant flow of fresh air from outside the helmet enters the system through the filter pocket.
The PROVISION Barrier Hood/Gown uses HYTREL Elastomer, a barrier material that is both latex and lint free. Hytrel Elastomer allows heat to escape while maintaining fluid-impervious barrier protection, which is not possible with traditional materials.
