PFC SIGMA Fixed Bearing Knee System Cruciate - Substituting | | | General Information
| Vendor | | DePuy Orthopaedics, Inc. | | Item | | PFC SIGMA Fixed Bearing Knee System Cruciate - Substituting | | Features | | Patented cam and spine design provides true mechanical substitution for the PCL to produce component rollback
Its central location transfers shear forces into compression through center stem of tibial component
Provides high liftoff value (16.3mm) before femoral component subluxes over tibial spine
Uniform femoral box/tibial spine dimensions across size range provide for interchange-ability, one size up and down.
Same component can be used for primary CS or revision procedures with the addition of modular stems and augments
Revision procedures do not require any additional bone resection
Three offset stem/bolt positions (0mm, +/- 2mm), allows accurate femoral component placement based on IM canal.
Rounded coronal shape of posterior stabilized tibial insert maximizes contact area and reduces peak stresses avoiding edge loading with rounded femoral condyles
Reinforcement pin helps reinforce against high varus/valgus loads insert is subjected to when collateral support is lacking | | Approval | | Worldwide | | Product Number | | Inquire | | PCL Specs | | Inquire | | Femoral Fixation | | Inquire | | Femoral Sizes | | Inquire | | Patellar Types | | Inquire | | Patellar Sizes | | Inquire | | Patellar Shape | | Inquire | | Tibia Metal Backing Substrate | | Inquire | | Tibial Fixation | | Inquire | | Tibial Sizes | | Inquire | | Tibia Interchangeable with Femur | | Inquire | | Tibial Insert Sizes | | Inquire | | Tibial Insert Thickness | | Inquire | | Pricing | | Inquire |
| | Product Description | |
| The P.F.C. Sigma Total Knee System is designed to provide the surgeon with surgical solutions for a variety of clinical indications. Based on the clinically successful P.F.C. Total Knee System introduced in 1984, P.F.C. Sigma continues a history of innovation.
Indicated for procedures where mechanical substitution is required for the posterior cruciate ligament, the cruciate substituting components may be used for primary or revision procedures. The femoral component is modular, allowing for the addition of stems and augments in revision procedures. SPECIALIST 2 Instruments provide for an easy transition from cruciate retaining to cruciate substituting in revision procedures.
