The Auto Suture™ VERSAPORT™ PLUS V2 RT single-use obturator has a sharp linear blade and a spring-loaded locking shield.
The Auto Suture™ VERSAPORT™ PLUS V2 RT single-use obturator is available in 5 -11, 5-12, 11 mm and 12 mm diameters with a shield and seal system. The 5 mm and 5 mm short single-use obturators are not available with the VERSAPORT™ PLUS seal. Upon entry into a free space in the abdominal or chest cavity, the shield advances to cover the linear blade, reducing the potential for injury to internal structures. The VERSAPORT™ PLUS RT reusable titanium cannula is available in two (2) variations, plain cannula and integral grip cannula. The VERSAPORT™ PLUS RT PowerShield™ reusable radiolucent cannula is only available as a plain cannula but may be used in conjunction with a SPRING-GRIP™, FOAMGRIP™ or BLUNTGRIP™ device. The cannula attaches and detaches from a single-use housing. The single-use seal system contains an internal seal to prevent gas leakage when instruments are inserted or withdrawn, without loss of pneumoperitoneum.
The VERSAPORT™ PLUS system includes an adjusting seal, accommodating instruments ranging from 5 mm - 12 mm as appropriate and is designed to reduce the size of the diameter of the trocar to allow insertion of smaller sized instruments without loss of pneumoperitoneum. There is a stopcock valve for gas insufflation and rapid desufflation. | |
