| GORE MYCROMESH® PLUS Biomaterial is the first hernia repair material with antimicrobial technology for controlling potential operative contamination of the material. This advanced ePTFE biomaterial contains two antimicrobial preservative agents, silver carbonate and chlorhexidine diacetate, which act to inhibit bacterial colonization on the patch for up to 10 days post-implantation. It also offers all the performance advantages of Gore's standard MYCROMESH® Biomaterial, such as rapid host tissue incorporation and minimal foreign body response.
