    Product Description
The USS Sports Medicine™ POLYSORB™ Soft Tissue Anchor 3 mm is a resorbable repair device used to attach soft tissue to bone using sutures. The resorbable repair device is implanted into a prepared hole in the bone, and is used to attach soft tissue. The suture anchors are made of a resorbable copolymer, derived from glycolide and lactide colored with D&C violet #2. The glycolide/lactide copolymer degrades and resorbs in vivo by hydrolysis to lactic and glycolic acids which are then metabolized by the body. U.S.P. size 2 (5 metric) TI•CRON™ polyester sutures are nonabsorbable, sterile, surgical sutures composed of polyethylene terephthalate. The braided sutures are coated uniformly with silicone to increase surface lubricity, thereby enhancing handling characteristics, ease of passage through tissue and knot run-down properties. TI•CRON polyester sutures are inert and elicit only minimal local tissue reaction. They are also available dyed with D&C Blue No. 6 colorant and are also available undyed (white). TI•CRON sutures meet all requirements established by the United States Pharmacopeia (USP) and the European Pharmacopeia (EP) for nonabsorbable surgical sutures except where indicated on the individual unit package.
