    Product Description
    The VacoSplint has a rigid shell with a vacuum liner used to provide support for an immobilized foot/ankle. The VacoSplint is a non-weight bearing splint. Once the patient is allowed to weight bear he/she should transfer to the STORM walker boot.

    Patients requiring maximum stability should remove the nylon liner from the STORM and insert the vacuum liner from the VacoSplint. Retain the nylon liner for future use.

    The VacoSplint has a posterior shell wtih an attached rubber sole and a spreader for additional ankle area. The shell is molder from Polyamide (PA) a thermoplastic nylon. The sole is a rocker bottom to help with stabilization and to prevent full weight bearing.

    The rear adapter allows the splint to be positioned in 0°:, 15° or 30° plantar flexion.

    Mesh material with four Velcro straps is used for the front closure.

    The vacuum liner is filled with Styrofoam brads. The white cap on the valve stem allows air to enter, making the liner soft and pliable. When white cap is removed, attach the pump to the valve fitting and bhy manually pumping the interal air will be evacuated. The liner the becomes hard, conforming to the anatomy and supports the ankle/foot similar to a cast. If the liner does not become hard, make sure the pump is attached properly and repeat.
