| The TissueButton can be used as an adjunct to suture anchors to significantly enhance soft tissue apposition to bone to speed healing and strengthen the repair. A wide distribution of fixation forces over a greater area dramatically improves soft tissue fixation and reattachment.
The 1 mm thick disc of bioabsorbable PLLA has an extremely low profile to reduce soft tissue impingement.
When placing threaded anchors through soft tissue and bone in one step, the TissueButton can be inserted over the trailing sutures without subsequent suture retrieval and soft tissue passing, significantly simplifying steps to complete the repair. | |
