Product Description

The CoreTherm Microwave Thermotherapy System is the Next Generation thermotherapy device for the treatment of symptomatic BPH. Other thermotherapy systems treat patients on standard treatment protocols, discounting the effect of each patient's individual intraprostatic blood flow characteristics will have on achieving the desired therapeutic temperatures and therefore, the treatment outcome.The CoreTherm System employs a patented intraprostatic temperature probe that measures actual tissue temperatures at three locations within the prostate. This data is used by the PLFT Software to provide the treating physician the following data:
Real time measurement of temperatures achieved in the prostate.
The dynamic changes in the intraprostatic blood flow during the treatment.
An estimate of tissue destruction by providing real-time Calculated Cell Kill from the actual temperatures achieved and the duration of the treatment.
