Software		The XCAT system comes with KUBTEC’s proprietary image reconstruction software. This Windows based software is operator friendly and includes a plethora of filters and image enhancement tools.
Source		A 30 – 90 keV microfocus, constant potential source, with ability to save recipes based on time and output levels.
Detector		Digital detector unit, 4” x 4” in size with 12 bit signal output representing over 4000 shades of gray per image. This high magnification and contrast capability enables the researcher to image subtle features that heretofore were lost amid the background noise from analog detectors. The 10 lp/mm spatial resolution facilitates high magnification capability to distinguish micron level features with relative ease. The large detector size further facilitates imaging of large specimens in short time periods, without exposing them to extended doses of radiation.

Computer		Intel Pentium IV based computer with 1 GB memory, 80 GB hard drive, CDRW and network compatible interface, enables the researcher to save images on a CD or send them around the world over the internet, right from the system.
Operator Interface		The XCAT includes a multi-color digital operator interface that can also save close to 10,000 recipes based on time and output levels, to facilitate imaging of a variety of samples. Further, the interface offers the unique option to turn on an audible alarm that can be used to serve a variety of needs including preventing any mishaps due to over-exposure.

Product Description

The desk-top XCAT 100 X-Ray System from KUBTEC is a dual capability system with the ability to provide two and three dimensional representation of the specimen under test. While the XCAT series provides volumetric reconstruction of specimen X-ray images, the micro focus source also allows the system to provide high level of detail in standard 2D images. The 100 mm x 100 mm digital detector provides image resolution at 12 bits and 10 lp/mm. The compact size and shielding allow the unit to be easily located in most environments. The fast state-of-the-art CT reconstruction software and parallel processing capability enables the user to obtain high quality images from all viewing angles in a relatively short period of time.
