| The IDS OCTEIATM IGF-I kit is a two-site ELISA for the quantitative determination of Insulin-like Growth Factor-I (IGF-I) in serum or plasma. The assay uses a highly specific polyclonal "capture" antibody in microtiter wells and a high affinity monoclonal antibody labelled with horseradish peroxidase. A simple sample pre-treatment replaces acid/ethanol extraction to provide for the direct immunoassay of IGF-I, the whole process being completed within 4 hours. The OCTEIATM IGF-I ELISA is being used increasingly in studies associated with growth, cancer and bone metabolism.
