 | | Product Description | |
| CIC are formed as a host defense against foreign antigens and are usually cleared by phagocytosis. If not cleared, CIC may be deposited in tissue and provoke inflammatory response. CIC are increased in Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE), Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) and may be involved in other autoimmune disorders as well as in infectious and neoplastic diseases.
The principle of the assay is based on C1q coated microtiter wells binding CIC from the patients serum or plasma. An enzyme conjugate recognizes the Fc region of the bound complex. | |
