| The NGAL ELISA Kit is intended for determination of human NGAL in tissue fluids, (e.g. plasma, serum, urine), tissue extracts or culture media.
NGAL (neutrophil gelatinase-associated lipocalin) is dramatically increased, especially in urine, as early as 2 hours after renal injury and in ongoing renal repair processes. NGAL expression in plasma or urine levels may also be increased in inflammatory or infective conditions and adenocarcinomas (e.g. breast, colon, prostate).
With the new NGAL ELISA KIT, urine, plasma or serum samples can be analysed in a standard laboratory with conventional ELISA equipment. All components are stored at 4ºC and all incubations are performed at room temperature. The kit contains ready-to-use calibrators, reagents and pre-coated well strips, which greatly reduces the hands-on time. The simple test protocol permits high reproducibility with a total assay time under 4 hours
