| The ElectroXpress gel electrophoresis system mirrors a 96-well plate in format, allowing medium or high-throughput screening of PCR products to take place easily and with direct compatibility to the source (96-well) plate. Loading can be carried out directly with a multi-channel pipette. For the first time in the industry two sets of off-set marker lanes are also included (one on each side), with differential spacing so that there is no confusion possible between marker and sample lanes. Gel casting and visualisation take place in the same unit, and the base is UV-transmissable for ease of use. For enhanced flexibility, the top of the unit can be removed and sample combs taken out if an alternative format is required. | |
