Struts feature an optimal hydrodynamic contour, droplet shaped, intended to diminish turbulence and the consequent risk of thrombogenicity. The graphite substrate is coated with bulk pyrolytic carbon. A tantalum wire allows the radiographic visualization. Opening angle of 60° is designed to minimize regurgitation and energy loss. Carbofilm coated sewing ring is made of PTFE fabric.
