The Cordis STEER-IT® Deflecting Tip Guidewire has a flexible, radiopaque platinum alloy coil on the distal tip. The longitudinal distal/proximal movement of the handle mechanism, located at the proximal end of the guidewire, deflects the distal tip in two directions. Guidewire length, diameter, and distal tip configuration are indicated on the product label.
