The Control Unit has the role of a data logger and data analyzer. It receives the signals sensed by the sensor and analyses them using proprietary algorithms designed to provide continuous measurement of respiration rate and heart rate.

The EarlySense™ ES-16 system continuously measures respiration rates and heart rates without contacting the patient`s body. The System automatically starts measuring whenever the patient is in bed in resting or sleeping conditions. The system monitors patients of any age over 2 years.
Providing contact-less, passive monitoring capabilities, with no need for patient activation or involvement, the EarlySense™ ES-16 System is designed to overcome compliance concerns enabling continuous monitoring of patients while in bed in homes, long term care facilities and hospitals.
