SphygmoCor® CP Central Blood Pressure Assessment and Management System The SphygmoCor® CP Central Blood Pressure Assessment and Management System provides a quick and non-invasive method of obtaining central blood pressure and other key cardiovascular data, and is intended to enhance the treatment and management of patients. Using a validated generalized transfer function, the system derives the ascending aortic blood pressure waveform from the radial arterial pressure waveform. SphygmoCor then analyzes the central aortic waveform to central pressures and other provide key indices of arterial stiffness and cardiovascular risk. These indices include aortic augmentation pressure, aortic augmentation index, ejection duration, and Buckberg Index (subendocardial viability ratio).
